Continuous Memory DTC 1747 indicates a short in the EPC solenoid circuit.

Possible Causes:
- Damaged harness connector.
- Damaged EPC solenoid.
- Intermittent harness continuity.
- Damaged Powertrain Control Module (PCM) connector pins.

- Key Off.

- Inspect EPC solenoid wires between transmission and PCM. Service as necessary.

- Disconnect PCM. Inspect for damaged or pushed out pins, corrosion, loose wires, etc. Service as necessary.

- Install breakout box, connect PCM to breakout box.

- Shake, wiggle and bend the harness of the EPC solenoid.
- Lightly tap on the EPC solenoid connector to simulate a road shock.

NOTE: A fault is indicated by a sudden voltage change.

- Is a fault indicated?

YES -- ISOLATE fault and SERVICE as necessary. RECONNECT all components. Complete PCM reset to clear DTCs. Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

Rerun drive cycle test step TG90 to verify the repair. If concern still exists, REFER to Transmission and Drivetrain/Automatic Transmission/Transaxle for possible internal transmission damage. TG90 - Perform Drive Cycle Test

NO -- COMPLETE PCM reset to clear DTCs. GO to Transmission and Drivetrain/Automatic Transmission/Transaxle for possible internal transmission damage.
