QB1 - Check Battery Terminals



DTC 1605 indicates the PCM has experienced a power interrupt in the KAPWR circuit. Possible causes:
- Battery terminal corrosion or loose connections.
- Improper KAPWR circuit wire routing.
- Harness open in KAPWR circuit.
- Damaged PCM.

NOTE: If KAPWR is interrupted to the PCM (i.e. when a breakout box is installed or the battery is disconnected), DTC 1605 may be generated on the first power-up after either action.

- Inspect the battery cables for loose connections, corrosion, etc.

- Are the battery terminal connections in good condition?

YES -- Battery terminals are OK. GO to QB2. QB2 - Inspect Engine Compartment For Proper Wire Routing

NO -- SERVICE battery terminals as necessary. Rerun quick test. Diagnostic Subroutines (DSR) - Extracting Codes
