MC7 - Check For Spout Short to Ground In Harness

- Key Off.

- DVOM on 20K ohm scale.

- Disconnect EI diagnostic harness positive lead to battery.

- Measure resistance between J45 (SPOUT I) and J7 (B-) at breakout box.

- Is the resistance greater than 10K ohms?

YES -- GO to MC8. MC8 - Check For Spout Open to ICM - ICM and PCM Disconnected

NO -- CHECK connectors, SERVICE or REPLACE harness. SPOUT is shorted low. REMOVE all test equipment. RECONNECT all components. Clear continuous memory. Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes
