JC45 - Check For C4 Short Low - ICM and Coil Disconnected

- Key Off.

- Disconnect ICM from vehicle harness connector.

- DVOM on 20K ohm scale.

- Measure resistance between J7 (B-) and J18 (LC4C) at breakout box.

- Is resistance reading greater than 10K ohms?

YES -- REPLACE ICM. C4 is shorted low. REMOVE all test equipment. RECONNECT all components. Clear continuous memory. Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

Rerun quick test. Diagnostic Subroutines (DSR) - Extracting Codes

NO -- CHECK connectors, SERVICE or REPLACE harness. C4 is shorted low. REMOVE all test equipment. RECONNECT all components. Clear continuous memory. Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes
