H30 - DTCs 0135, 0141, 0155 and 0161: HO2S Heater Signal

Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) 0135, 0141, 0155 and 0161 received separately indicate a short to ground or open in the HO2S heater circuit. DTCs received in pairs (0135 and 0155) (0141 and 0161) indicate the HO2S Heater Signal circuit shorted to a power source greater than 2.0 volts. DTCs received in pairs with one upstream heater code and one downstream heater code are treated as separate codes.

Fault Code/HO2S Reference Chart

DTC 0135 = HO2S HTR-11
DTC 0141 = HO2S HTR-12
DTC 0155 = HO2S HTR-21
DTC 0161 = HO2S HTR-22

Possible Causes:
- Shorts to B+ in harness or HO2S.
- Water in connectors.
- Cut or pulled wires.
- Disconnected wiring.
- Open VPWR circuit.
- Open PWR GND.

- Visually inspect the HO2S connectors for proper assembly, contamination and exposed wiring.

NOTE: On some applications, a vehicle hoist may be required to access the H02S harness.

- Were any concerns found during the visual inspection?

YES -- REPAIR any concerns found in the visual inspection. Rerun quick test. Diagnostic Subroutines (DSR) - Extracting Codes

NO -- For codes received Individually: a short to GND or an open exists in the HO2S HTR circuit. Go to H31. H31 - Check For Voltage at the HO2S Heater Harness Connector

For codes (0135 and 0155) received In pairs: a short to power exists in the HO2S HTR circuit. Go to H35. H35 - Check For HO2S Heater Signal Shorted to VPWR

For codes (0141 and 0161) received in pairs: a short to power exists in the HO2S HTR circuit. Go to H35. H35 - Check For HO2S Heater Signal Shorted to VPWR
