DC21 - Check MAF SIG For Short to Power (Excluding VREF)

- Key Off.

- MAF sensor disconnected.

- Disconnect PCM. Inspect for damaged or pushed out pins, corrosion, loose wires, etc. Service as necessary.

- Install breakout box, leave PCM disconnected.

- Key On, Engine Off.

- Measure the voltage between Test Pin 88 (MAF SIG) and Test Pin 24 or 103 (PWR GND) at the breakout box.

- Is the voltage greater than 10.5 volts?

YES -- SERVICE short between MAF SIG and Power (excluding VREF) in harness circuit. REMOVE breakout box. RECONNECT all components. Rerun quick test. Diagnostic Subroutines (DSR) - Extracting Codes

NO -- Go to DC22. DC22 - Check MAF SIG For Short to Power In PCM
