DA4 - Check Resistance of Temperature Sensor - Engine Running

NOTE: Verify that engine is at operating temperature before taking ECT readings.

- Key Off.

- Suspect temperature sensor disconnected.

- Run engine for two minutes at 2000 rpm.

- Measure resistance between sensor Signal Circuit and SIG RTN circuit at the temperature sensor. Refer to the chart for resistance specifications. Tables and Graphs

- Is resistance within specification?

YES -- REPLACE PCM. RECONNECT vehicle harness. Rerun quick test. Diagnostic Subroutines (DSR) - Extracting Codes

NO -- REPLACE suspect sensor. RECONNECT vehicle harness. Rerun quick test. Diagnostic Subroutines (DSR) - Extracting Codes
