Accelerator Cable

REMOVAL and INSTALLATION

1. Using a suitable tool, push the accelerator pedal nylon bushing out of the accelerator pedal and shaft arm.

2. Remove accelerator cable housing from dash panel by removing two screws retaining accelerator cable to dash panel and pushing outward from inside passenger compartment.

3. Remove speed control cable, if so equipped.

4. Disconnect the accelerator cable at the throttle body throttle lever by inserting a screwdriver between the accelerator cable and the throttle lever and giving a twist.

5. Remove the accelerator cable housing to engine mounting bracket retaining screw.

6. Remove accelerator cable from accelerator cable retainer on upper intake manifold brace.

7. To install, reverse Removal procedure and ensure accelerator cable movement is not restricted.
