Steering Gear: Adjustments






1. Remove steering gear, the position in suitable soft-jawed vise.
2. Measure pinion torque using a suitable in lb torque wrench and adapter T87C-3504-C, or equivalent. Torque should be 5.3-13.3 in lb.
3. If not as indicated, readjust pinion torque by tightening or loosening adjusting plug.
