ADV3 - Check Centrifugal Advance

Centrifugal Advance:

^ Warm the engine.

^ Disconnect and plug the vacuum hose(s) from the vacuum control.

^ Connect a Rotunda Timing Analyzer 059-00014 or equivalent.

^ Gradually increase the engine speed.

^ Monitor the ignition timing advance and compare to the chart.

^ Does the centrifugal advance operate properly?

YES -- Go to ADV4.ADV4 - Check Vacuum Diaphragm

NO -- Service the centrifugal advance assembly.
