With Scan Tool

NOTE: Test all switches individually. Leaving a switch ON while testing another will lead to a false test result.

1. Turn engine OFF, and allow to cool.

2. Deactivate Self Test by unlatching the center button of the Super Star II tester and turn the tester OFF.

3. Turn all accessories OFF.

4. Place transmission in Park (A/T) or Neutral (M/T).

5. Turn ignition key ON.

6. Turn tester ON, latch center button, watch the output of the LED on the adapter cable as each switch is exercised.

Switch Monitor Test:

7. Exercise all switches listed in Switch Monitor Test Chart.

- If all switches check OK, see Component Verification Test. Component Verification Test

- If one or more switches fail, refer to Switch Monitor Test Chart for Pinpoint Test direction.
