With Super Star II Tester
NOTE: It may be necessary to service non-EEC faults before running the Quick Test. Deviation from this procedure may cause false codes.1. Start engine and bring to operating temperature.
If engine will not start, see No Start Symptom Test. No Start Symptom Test
2. Turn the key OFF, wait ten seconds.
3. Latch the center button to the TEST position.
4. Turn the Super Star II tester ON. The tester will sound and "888" will be displayed for two seconds.
5. Key ON.
6. Unlatch and relatch the center test button.
7. Unlatch the center button to review all codes retained in tester memory.
NOTE: The STI LO indicator will flash as the codes are received by the Super Star II tester. If the STI LO indicator goes out and does not come back on, no codes exist.
