Disassembly and Assembly
DISASSEMBLY1. Remove oil pump cover.
2. Remove outer and inner rotors.
3. Remove cotter pin and remove pressure piston, cap and spring.
4. Remove oil seal using seal remover tool T78P-3504-N, or equivalent.
INSPECTION
1. Inspect pressure spring for weakness or breakage.
2. Pressure spring free length should be 1.7910 in.

3. Inner to outer rotor clearance should not exceed 0.0079 in.
Fig. 10 Outer Rotor To Body Clearance Measurement:
4. Outer rotor to pump body clearance should not exceed 0.0087 in.
Fig. 11 Rotor To Pump Cover Clearance Measurement:
5. Rotor to pump body clearance should not exceed 0.0055 in.
ASSEMBLY
1. Install oil seal flush with pump body.
2. Install pressure piston, cap and spring with a new cotter pin.
3. Install inner and outer rotors.
4. Install oil pump cover.
