Removal and Installation










REMOVAL
1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel and tire assembly.
2. Remove brake pads.
3. Remove banjo bolt attaching brake flex hose to caliper.
4. Remove two copper washers sealing flex hose banjo fitting to caliper, then discard washers.
5. Remove two caliper bolts, then lift caliper off rotor.

INSTALLATION
1. Remove caliper guide pin bushing dust boots, then push out caliper guide pin bushings.
2. Lubricate guide pin bushings with an appropriate disc brake caliper slide grease, then install bushings and dust boots.
3. Position caliper over rotor, then install caliper bolts.
4. Tighten caliper bolts to 39-49 Nm (29-36 ft lb).
5. Install two new copper washers and banjo bolt on brake flex hose, then position flex hose on caliper assembly.
6. Tighten banjo bolt to 22-29 Nm (17-21 ft lb).
7. Install brake pads and shims.
8. Perform system brake bleeding procedures, then install wheel and tire assembly.
9. Lower vehicle, then tighten lug nuts to 65-88 ft lb.
