Throttle Valve Cable/Linkage: Adjustments

ADJUST
1. Remove splash shield next to left front tire.

Pressure Gauge Connection:






2. Remove square head plug (marked L) and install transaxle test adapter tool No. D870-77000-A and pressure gauge tool No. T57L-77820 or equivalents.

Kickdown Cable Adjustment:






3. Loosen kickdown cable by turning locknuts away from throttle cam.
4. Shift transaxle into P, then start and run engine until it reaches normal operating temperature.

NOTE: Ensure engine idle speed is 700-800 RPM.

5. Turn locknuts toward throttle cam until line pressure indicated on pressure gauge begins to exceed 63-66 psi.
6. Turn locknuts away from throttle cam until a line pressure of 63-66 psi is reached.
7. Tighten locknuts, then turn engine OFF.
8. Remove pressure gauge and adapter and install square head plug. Torque plug to 43-87 in lbs.
