Steering Knuckle and Hub Assembly

1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel and tire assembly.
2. Carefully raise the staked portion of the halfshaft attaching nut using a suitable tool.
3. Remove halfshaft attaching nut, then discard nut. When loosening the nut, apply brakes to lock hub.
4. Remove stabilizer bar to control arm attaching nut, bolt, washer and bushings.
5. Remove tie rod end cotter pin, then remove attaching nut.
6. Separate tie rod end from steering knuckle using tool No. T85M-3395-A or equivalent.
7. Remove attaching clip at center of brake caliper flex hose.
8. Remove brake caliper attaching bolts, then support and position aside.
9. Remove lower ball joint clamp attaching nut and bolt.
10. Using suitable tool, pry control arm downward to separate ball joint from steering knuckle.
11. Remove steering knuckle to strut attaching bolts.

12. Remove steering knuckle and hub assembly from halfshaft.

CAUTION: Do not damage seals. If hub binds on halfshaft splines, loosen by lightly tapping end of halfshaft with plastic face hammer. Do not use metal faced hammer as constant velocity joint internal damage may result.

13. Reverse procedure to install.
