Rapid Continuous Flashing Of Air Bag Indicator-All Crash Sensors Disconnected

Normal Operation
Each crash sensor has two (2) wires. One wire is used for air bag deployment and monitoring the sensor's connection to the diagnostic monitor. The other wire is used for monitoring the mounting (ground) of the sensor to sheet metal (refer to codes 44, 45, and 46 diagnosis for details). If the code 41 diagnosis reveals that ALL THREE crash sensors are not connected, AND if the diagnostic trouble code 44, 45 and 46 pinpoint tests reveal that ALL THREE crash sensors are not properly grounded, then the diagnostic monitor will flash the air bag indicator continuously at a fast rate.

Possible Cause
Rapid continuous flashing of the air bag indicator can be caused by the following:
1. All crash sensors disconnected from the wiring harness.
