PFO2 - Turbo Shaft Deflection

Check Turbocharger Shaft Deflection:

^ Remove the turbo air inlet pipe and the front (exhaust outlet) pipe, exposing the turbo rotor at both ends.

^ Manually push the rotor back and forth (axially) and up and down (radially) to verify whether the rotor blades scrape the housing.

^ Manually spin the rotor to verify whether the bearings turn smoothly and quietly.

^ Does the rotor turn smoothly and quietly without scraping?

YES -- Go to PFO3. PFO3 - Turbo Rotor Vane Condition

NO -- Replace the turbocharger assembly.
