TEST DESCRIPTION
This test evaluations 4EAT performance. It should only be run when the 4EAT symptom chart sends you here. The test involves a driving evaluation of transaxle shifting quality, ability, and timing. Problems are directed to symptom charts for appropriate actions to take. Symptom charts are; Upshift, Downshift, and Shift feel for various symptoms encountered.

- Drive vehicle and attempt to recreate the symptom.
- Perform road test with safety in mind. Use seat belts and operate vehicle in a safe manner.
- Two people should participate in the test; one to drive, and the other to observe conditions and symptoms.
- In some cases, it may not be necessary or desireable to perform an actual road test. The symptom may occur at starting, idle, or high rpm idle conditions. If this situation applies, proceed with road test by using the operating condition applying to your situation.
- If several symptoms are found, service them in order of occurrence.
- Begin with step SP 1.
