REMOVAL

NOTE: Make sure the ignition switch is on the "OFF" position.

1. Relieve fuel system pressure.
2. Disconnect fuel pressure regulator vacuum line.
3. Remove spring lock coupling retaining clips from fuel supply and return fittings.
4. Disconnect fuel supply and fuel return lines.
5. Disconnect wiring harness from injectors.
6. Remove two supply manifold retaining bolts.
CAUTION:
The fuel supply manifold and injectors must be handled with extreme care to prevent damage to sealing areas and sensitive fuel metering orifices.
7. Carefully disengage fuel supply manifold from fuel injectors.
8. Disconnect vacuum line from fuel pressure regulator valve and remove fuel supply manifold.

INSTALLATION

NOTE: When installing new or used injectors on the fuel supply manifold assembly, particular attention should be paid to proper O-ring seating to be sure that there is no fuel leakage.

1. Lubricate the O-rings an necessary with light engine oil.
2. Position the fuel supply manifold on top of the fuel injectors.
3. Push the fuel supply manifold down to ensure all injector O-rings are fully seated in the supply manifold cups and intake manifold.
4. Install the two retaining bolts while holding down the supply manifold and torque to 15-22 lb ft (20-30 Nm).
5. Connect the fuel supply and return line spring lock coupling.
6. Connect the fuel pressure regulator vacuum line.
7. With the injector electrical connectors disconnected, turn the ignition switch to the RUN position to allow the fuel pump to pressurize the system.
8. Using a clean towel, check for fuel leaks.
9. Connect the fuel injector wiring harness connectors.
