Ignition Coil: Service and Repair
REMOVAL1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
NOTE: When the battery has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the powertrain control module relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 10 miles or more to relearn the adaptive strategy.
Ignition Coil:
2. Disconnect high tension lead from coil.
3. Unplug coil electrical connector.
Ignition Coil:
4. Remove mounting nuts; remove coil and bracket.
5. Remove bracket from coil if necessary.
INSTALLATION
1. Position coil and install bracket and nuts.
2. Plug in electrical connector.
3. Connect high tension lead.
4. Connect negative battery cable.
