Fuel Pressure Regulator: Service and Repair

WARNING: DO NOT smoke or carry an open flame of any type while working on or near any fuel related component(s).

Fuel Pressure Regulator:

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Relieve fuel system pressure.
3. Disconnect regulator vacuum hose.
4. Disconnect fuel return line from regulator.
5. Remove regulator mounting bolts and remove pressure regulator and O-ring.

INSTALLATION
1. Install new O-ring on fuel pressure regulator.
2. Place regulator into position and install mounting bolts. Tighten bolts to 69 - 95 in lb (8 - 11 Nm).
3. Connect fuel return line to pressure regulator.
4. Connect regulator vacuum hose.
5. Connect negative battery cable.
6. Start engine and check for fuel leaks.
