Oil Pump: Service and Repair

1. Remove timing belt.
2. Remove timing belt pulley lock bolt.
3. Using a steering wheel puller, remove timing belt pulley, then the woodruff key.
4. Remove oil pan and oil strainer.
5. Remove A/C compressor mounting bolts and position compressor aside.
6. Remove A/C compressor mounting bracket, then the mounting bolt from oil dipstick tube bracket.
7. Remove alternator lower mounting bolt.
8. Remove oil pump mounting bolts and oil pump.
9. Reverse procedure to install.
10. Tighten oil pump bolts to 14-19 ft lb. Tighten oil strainer bolts to 6-8 ft lb.
