Lap Safety Belt Retractor

Removal





1. Remove two screws retaining the lap belt guide to the seat back latch lower cover.





2. Remove two screws retaining the lap belt cover to the side member, remove the cover by carefully pulling the lap belt webbing and tongue through the slot in the cover.





3. Remove two bolts retaining the lap belt retractor to the side member and remove the retractor.

Installation
1. Position the retractor assembly into the side member.
2. Install two retaining bolts. Tighten bolts to 29.7-40.3 Nm (23-31 lb-ft).
3. Insert lap belt tongue through the slot in the lap belt cover. Be sure the webbing is not twisted. Position the cover to the side member and install the attaching screws.
4. Position lap belt guide to the seat back latch lower cover.
5. Install but do not tighten 1 attaching screw. Install the lap belt webbing through the guide. Be sure the webbing is not twisted and install the remaining attaching screw and tighten both screws.
6. Cycle the lap safety belt retractor a few times and check the retractor for proper operation.
