DESCRIPTIONFuel Gauge and Sender
The magnetic Fuel Gauge controls pointer position based on the resistance of the Fuel Gauge Sender. The sender provides at least 145 ohms of resistance when the fuel tank is full and less than 22.5 ohms when the fuel tank is empty.
Temperature Gauge
The Magnetic Temperature Gauge controls pointer position based on the resistance of the Coolant Temperature Sender. The sender provides 73 ohms of resistance when the engine coolant is cold and 10 ohms when the engine coolant is hot.
Shift Indicator
The Shift Indicator is controlled by the powertrain control module, which grounds the indicator through the Shift Indicator Dimmer Relay when the engine has reached an efficient shift point. The Shift Indicator Dimmer Relay reduces the brightness of the indicator when the headlamps are on.
