Right Side

1. Relieve fuel system pressure.
2. Remove air cleaner assembly and heat tube.
3. Disconnect thermactor hose from air tube check valve, if equipped.
4. Disconnect coil wire, then spark plug wires.
5. Remove spark plugs, then the outer heat shroud.
6. Disconnect EGR tube, then raise and support vehicle.
7. Remove transmission dipstick tube and the thermactor downstream air tube.
8. Remove exhaust pipe to manifold attaching nuts, then lower vehicle.
9. Remove exhaust manifold attaching bolts, then the manifold and inner heat shroud.
10. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Lightly lubricate bolts and nuts with oil.
b. Torque manifold attaching bolts to 15-22 ft lb.
c. Torque exhaust pipe attaching nuts to 16-24 ft lb.
