Cam/Pulley Throttle Linkage

^ Disconnect the cable from the cam at the throttle body.

^ Ensure the disconnected end of the cable does not come in contact with any of the surrounding parts.

- Is the cable core wire kinked, frayed or damaged?

^ Pull the core wire through its entire travel from the pedal end and then from the throttle end.

^ Does it feel rough, sticky or restricted?

YES -- If Yes to any of the questions: Replace the cable.

NO -- If No to all of the questions: Cable is functioning properly. Refer to the Throttle Body / Testing and Inspection / Procedures or adjust the carpet, floor mat, etc., as required.
