With Manual A/C-Heater

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the instrument panel finish applique.
3. Remove the four screws attaching the control assembly to the instrument panel.

4. Remove the four Torx head screws retaining the control head. Pull the control head away from the instrument panel into a position which provides access to the rear connectors.
5. Disconnect the two harness connectors from the control assembly by depressing the latches at the top of the connectors and pulling.

INSTALLATION

CAUTION: Push on the vacuum harness retaining nuts. Do not attempt to screw them onto the post.

1. Connect the wire connectors and the vacuum harness to the control assembly using new pushnuts.
2. Position the control assembly to the instrument panel opening and install the four retaining screws.
3. Install the instrument panel finish applique.
4. Connect the battery ground cable.

NOTE: On vehicles equipped with Electronic Engine Control (EEC), when the battery has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the EEC processor relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 10 miles or more to relearn the strategy.

5. Check the system for proper operation.
