Fig. 160 Pedal Travel Switch Replacement:

1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then the wiring harness lead at switch connector.
2. Using a screwdriver, pry connector locator from holes in brake pedal support.
3. Unsnap switch hook from pin on ABS adapter bracket.
4. Hold brake pedal down to gain access, then using needle nose pliers, squeeze ears on switch mounting clip. Push clip through hole in dump valve adapter bracket.
5. Remove rear attaching screw on ABS adapter bracket, then loosen second screw.
6. Rotate bracket, then remove switch and wire assembly.
7. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Rotate switch and ensure mounting clip ears are completely engaged.
b. Adjust switch as outlined under ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURES/PEDAL TRAVEL SWITCH.
