B3 - Check IDM Output From ICM - IDM Fault

^ Key off.

^ DVOM on 20 volt AC scale.

^ Push and hold EI diagnostic harness IDM button down (opens IDM circuit to PCM).

^ Start engine and measure voltage between J30 (EI diagnostic harness IDM detector) and J7 (B-) at breakout box.

^ Is AC voltage greater than 5.0 volts?

YES -- Go to B4. B4 - Check For IDM Short In Processor - Processor Disconnected

NO -- Replace ICM. No IDM output from module. Remove all test equipment. Reconnect all components. Clear continuous memory. Rerun quick test.
