Air Injection Vacuum Control Solenoid Valve: Description and Operation
Dual Thermactor Air Control Solenoid Valve:
The dual Secondary Air Injection (AIR) control solenoid assembly consists of two normally closed vacuum solenoids. One controlling the AIR Bypass (AIRB) valve, the other AIR Diverter (AIRD) valve. Both are vented when de-energized, sourced by the intake manifold vacuum reservoir and controlled by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
