Continuous Monitor Diagnostic Mode (Wiggle Test) Description

The Continuous Self Test (Wiggle Test) is designed to help isolate intermittent faults. The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) continuously monitors inputs for opens and shorts.
The wiggle test can be entered at the completion of code output in either the Key On Engine Off (KOEO) or Key On Engine Running (KOER) test. The technician can accomplish this by wiggling the harness and LIGHTLY tapping suspected circuits or components when in the wiggle test mode. When a fault is found the Self-Test Output (STO) will be activated and a continuous fault code will be stored.
The Continuous Memory Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC's) must be retrieved within 80 engine temperature warm up cycles. DTC's will be erased after 80 cycles.
