ABS Light: Description and Operation

DESCRIPTION
The anti-lock brake indicator lights briefly as a bulb test and to warn the driver of an anti-lock brake system fault. If the anti-lock brake control module detects a system fault, it turns the main power relay off which turns on the anti-lock indicator. If the anti-lock brake control module loses power, the anti-lock power relay will be de-energized and the indicator will be grounded through the 57 (BK) circuit, the normally closed contacts of the anti-lock power relay, the 532 (O/Y) circuit, the anti-lock brake diode and the 603 (DG) circuit.
