B2 - Check For IDM Short High

^ Key on.

^ DVOM on 20 volt DC scale.

^ Disconnect coil from vehicle harness.

^ Measure voltage between Pin 4 (IDM) of PCM connector and J7 (B-) at breakout box.

^ Is voltage less than 5.5 volts DC?


YES -- Go to B3. B3 - Check For IDM Short Low


NO -- Service IDM short high in harness between PCM connector and the 22K ohm IDM resistor. Remove all test equipment. Reconnect all components. Clear continuous memory. Rerun quick test.
