Illuminated Entry

PURPOSE
The Illuminated Entry System powers the Courtesy Lamps and solid state lamps in the front door key lock cylinders when either outside door handle is raised.

OPERATION
Lifting either front door handle causes the Illuminated Entry Timer to direct current from the INT LPS Fuse to the Courtesy and Lock Lamps. The Timer will turn the lamps off in about 25 seconds, even if the door handle is held up for a longer period of time.

When the door is opened, the Courtesy Lamps are powered through the door switch.

With the Ignition Switch in "ACC" or "RUN", the timer is reset and the lamps go out.
