Solenoid Valve Body
OPERATIONThe solenoid control valve body contains four sets of solenoid controlled valves. When the anti-lock brake system is not engaged, the inlet valves remain open and the outlet valves remain closed. This allows normal braking when the anti-lock brake system is not cycling. The solenoid control valve body receives battery voltage from the anti-lock power relay when the ignition switch is in "RUN". The anti-lock brake control module activates the solenoids to the affected wheels by applying a ground signal to those solenoids.
