With Analog Voltmeter

1. Start engine and bring up to operating temperature.

If engine will not start, see No Start Symptom Test. No Start Symptom Test

2. Turn the key OFF, wait ten seconds.

3. Turn ignition key ON.

4. Turn analog voltmeter ON.

5. Observe analog voltmeter needle sweeps for any code indications. Refer to Quick Test Description / Reading Service Codes. >

6. Record all codes received.

7. Turn the ignition key OFF.

- If no codes are stored and engine starts, see Key On Engine Running (KOER) Self Test. Key On Engine Running (KOER) Self-Test

- If any codes are received, see Erase and Retest. Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

- If VOM always displays "0" Volts, see STI - Self Test Input. STI - Self Test Input
