Audible Warning Device: Description and Operation
SEAT BELT REMINDERWhen the Ignition Key is in the "RUN" position and the Seat Belt Switch is closed (Seat Belt not connected), current flows through the 10A METER fuse to the Time/Buzzer, causing the buzzer warning alarm to sound. When the Seat Belt Switch opens (Seat Belt connected), the buzzer warning alarm stops. If the Seat Belt is not connected, the buzzer warning alarm will stop after several seconds when the timing circuits for the buzzer warning alarm times out.
IGNITION KEY REMINDER
When the Ignition Key is inserted in the Ignition Switch and either door is open (either Door Switch is closed), current flows through the 10A ROOM fuse to energize Ignition Key Relay. Current will now flow through the 10A ROOM fuse and the closed contacts of Ignition Key Relay to activate the buzzer warning alarm. The buzzer warning alarm stops when both doors are closed (Door Switches open), or when the Ignition Key is removed. The Buzzer will also sound when the Ignition Switch is turned from the "ON" position to the "OFF" position and the Ignition Key is left in the Ignition Switch.
TURBO OVERBOOST WARNING
The Turbo Overboost Warning buzzer is provided on Turbo vehicles to warn the driver of an overboost condition. When the turbo charge boost pressure reaches a predetermined level, the Turbo Overboost Pressure Switch will close. Current will now flow through the 10A METER fuse to activate the Buzzer.
