Radiator Cooling Fan Motor: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove fan wiring harness from routing clamps, then disconnect harness connector.
3. Remove four screws retaining fan shroud to radiator, then remove shroud and fan motor.
4. Remove fan retaining nut and washer, then the fan from motor shaft.
5. Remove three fan motor retaining screws and washers, then the fan motor from shroud.
6. Reverse procedure to install. Torque motor to shroud screws to 3-4 ft. lbs. and four fan shroud to radiator retaining screws to 23-34 ft. lbs.
