Freeplay

ADJUSTMENT

NOTE: To determine if the pedal freeplay requires adjustment, depress clutch pedal by hand until clutch resistance is felt. Measure the distance between upper pedal height and where the resistance is felt. Freeplay should be 0.20-0.51 inch. Use the following procedure if adjustment is necessary.

1. Loosen clutch pedal push rod locknut.
2. Turn push rod until pedal freeplay is within specification.
3. Check that disengagement height is correct when the pedal is fully depressed. Minimum disengagement height is 1.6 inches.
4. Torque push rod locknut to 9-12 ft lbs.
