Steering Knuckle Assembly Removal

Front Hub/Steering Knuckle Assembly Removal

1. Raise the vehicle and remove the front wheel, brake caliper and rotor. Refer to Disc Brake System.

2. Remove the nut securing the halfshaft to the hub.

3. Remove the outer tie rod at the steering knuckle. Refer to Manual Steering. Steering

Front Hub / Steering Knuckle Assembly Removal:

4. Remove the nuts and bolts securing the shock/strut assembly to the steering knuckle.

5. Separate the shock/strut assembly from the steering knuckle.

Front Hub / Steering Knuckle Assembly Removal:

6. Remove the nut and the bolt securing the lower ball-joint to the steering knuckle.

Front Hub/ Steering Knuckle Assembly Removal:

7. Separate the ball-joint from the steering knuckle.

8. Remove the front hub/steering knuckle assembly from the halfshaft.
