Lower Ball Joint / Dust Cover Removal:

Lower Ball-Joint/Dust Boot Removal

1. Remove the nut and bolt securing the lower ball joint to the steering knuckle.

2. Remove the nuts securing the lower ball-joint to the lower control arm. Remove the lower ball-joint.

3. Secure the lower ball-joint in a vise.

4. Place a chisel between the lower ball-joint and the dust boot. Lightly tap on the chisel to separate the dust boot from the lower ball-joint.
