Front Hub/Steering Knuckle Assembly Installation

1. Install the front hub/steering knuckle assembly onto the ball-joint and secure it with the nut and bolt. Tighten the nut to 43-59 N.m (32-43 lb-ft). Apply Loctite 290 or equivalent thread locking compound to the nut and bolt threads.

2. Install the outer tie rod. Refer to Manual Steering. Steering

3. Install the steering knuckle to the shock/strut assembly. Tighten the nuts and bolts to 93-127 N.m (69-93 lb-ft).

4. Install a new locknut securing the halfshaft to the front hub. Tighten the locknuts to 235-319 N.m (174-235 lb-ft). Stake the locknut to prevent it from loosening.

5. Install the brake rotor, caliper and wheel. Refer to Disc Brakes.
