Front Hub/Steering Knuckle Assembly-Assembly

1. Press in new wheel studs as necessary.

2. Scribe a mark on the new dust cover in the same position as on the previous mark.

3. Align the marks on the steering knuckle to the mark on the dust cover.

4. Using an appropriate tool, press the dust cover onto the steering knuckle.

5. Position the steering knuckle onto a press.

Front Hub / Steering Knuckle Assembly:

6. Apply Threadlocker 262 to the wheel bearing outer race.

7. Using an appropriate bearing installer, press the bearing into the steering knuckle.

8. Install the E-clip.

9. Position the hub onto the knuckle.

Front Hub / Steering Knuckle Assembly:

10. Using an appropriate installation tool, press the hub into the bearing and the steering knuckle.

CAUTION: Always install a new oil seal on the back (inboard) side of the steering knuckle.

11. Using an appropriate seal installer, install a new oil seal onto the back (inboard) side of the steering knuckle. Be certain that the oil seal mounts flush with the steering knuckle.

12. Install the front hub/steering knuckle assembly as explained in this section.
