Front Stabilizer Bar Removal
Tool Required:
^ Three Bar Engine Support D88L-6000-A
Front Stabilizer Bar Removal:
1. Support the engine with Three Bar Engine Support D88L-6000-A or equivalent.
2. Raise the vehicle.
3. Remove the front wheels.
Front Stabilizer Bar Removal:
4. Remove the nuts securing the steering gear mounting brackets.
5. Position the steering gear slightly forward.
Front Stabilizer Bar Removal:
6. Remove the stabilizer bar nuts, washers, bushings, sleeves and bolts from the lower control arm.
Front Stabilizer Bar Removal:
7. Remove the rear crossmember nuts from the rear transaxle mount and the vehicle frame.
8. Loosen the front crossmember bolts and nuts from the front transaxle mount and the vehicle frame.
Front Stabilizer Bar Removal:
9. Lower the rear end of the crossmember.
Front Stabilizer Bar Removal:
10. Remove the nuts and bolts securing the chassis frame to the vehicle frame. Lower the chassis frame.
Front Stabilizer Bar Removal:
NOTE: The engine and transaxle mounts will support the chassis frame when unbolting the chassis frame from the vehicle frame.
11. Unbolt the stabilizer bar from the chassis frame and remove the stabilizer bar from the vehicle.
