Throttle Body: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Remove inlet air duct connecting throttle body and resonance chamber.
3. Disconnect throttle body electrical connectors.

Throttle Body:

4. Disconnect idle speed control and bypass air hoses from Idle Speed Control (ISC) valve.
5. Disconnect accelerator and kickdown cables from throttle cam.
6. Remove throttle body mounting bolts.

Throttle Body Removal/Installation:

7. Remove throttle body and gasket.

INSTALLATION
1. Install throttle body gasket.
2. Connect idle speed control and air bypass hoses to throttle body.
3. Place throttle body in mounting position and install mounting bolts. Tighten the bolts to 14 - 19 ft lb (19 - 25 Nm).
4. Connect throttle body electrical connectors.
5. Connect accelerator cable and kickdown cable to throttle cam.
6. Install air inlet duct between throttle body and resonance chamber.
7. Connect negative battery cable.
