Intake Plenum

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Remove air duct that connects to throttle body and resonance chamber.
3. Disconnect accelerator and kickdown cables from throttle cam.
4. Remove cable bracket mounting bolt and remove bracket from intake plenum.
5. Disconnect throttle body electrical connectors.
6. Disconnect all necessary vacuum hoses from plenum.
7. Remove plenum upper mounting bolts and nuts.

Intake Plenum Removal/Installation:

8. From under vehicle, remove plenum lower mounting bolts.
9. Remove plenum and gasket from intake manifold.

INSTALLATION
1. Install plenum gasket.
2. Place plenum into mounting position.
3. Install upper mounting bolts and nuts. Tighten to 14 - 19 ft lb (19 - 25 Nm).
4. From under vehicle, install plenum mounting bolts. Tighten to 14 - 19 ft lb (19 - 25 Nm).
5. Connect idle speed and air bypass hoses to plenum.
6. Connect throttle body electrical connectors.
7. Connect all vacuum hoses removed from plenum.
8. Connect accelerator and kickdown cable bracket to plenum. Tighten bolts to 69 - 95 in lb (8 - 11 Nm).
9. Connect accelerator and kickdown cables throttle cam.
10. Install air duct connecting throttle body and resonance chamber.
11. Connect negative battery cable.
