Control Pressure Test
CONTROL PRESSURE TEST1. Perform drive cycle test.
Line Pressure Tap Location:
2. Connect suitable pressure gauge to line pressure tap.
Line Pressure Specification Chart:
3. Start engine and note line pressures. If line pressure is not as specified in the Line Pressure Specification Chart, perform Air Pressure Test and service main control system.
4. If line pressure is not as indicated after mechanical checks and electrical codes are not indicated, Electronic Pressure Control (EPC) solenoid may be mechanically faulty.
5. Connect suitable pressure gauge to EPC pressure tap, start engine, then check EPC pressure.
6. At idle, 10-20 psi should be indicated, at wide open throttle, 73-87 psi should be indicated.
7. If pressures are not as indicated, replace EPC solenoid.
