Power Steering Pressure Switch: Description and Operation

The Power Steering Pressure Switch (PSPS), located in the high pressure power steering line, CLOSES when the pressure reaches approximately 400-600 psi. When the ECA senses this signal, the idle speed is adjusted to compensate for the additional engine load.
