With Autolamps

The primary function of this circuit is to control instrument illumination. The circuit also controls the digital displays on the electronic components. Instrument Illumination and Digital Display Brightness (without Autolamps) are controlled by the I/P Dimming Rheostat.

When the exterior lamps and headlamps are off, the digital displays are maintained at full brightness through the 484 (O/BK) and 434 (LB/BK) wires.

On models without autolamps the display is powered through Fuse 6 and the Main Light Switch when the lights are off. On models with autolamps, the LCD Dimming Relay controls this power. With the lights on, the I/P Dimming Rheostat controls display brightness.
